It is crunch time in the election. Early voting ends Friday, then Tuesday comes.
I’m not sitting this one out. I have never been more personally affected by an election in my life.
I am a rabid socialist liberal. I, along with many others, was kicked out of the 2016 Nevada Democratic Convention because they wouldn’t let us vote as delegates and decided it for Hillary by some bullshit. Bernie would have won. I once sat in the back of a police car in handcuffs and gave a Black Lives Matter speech to a cop.
I practice what I preach.
I have to vote for Republicans for both Governor and Attorney General. Why? Because if they don’t win, I have to go through this another four years. I can’t live like this.
It’s one thing to support the greater good. But there comes a moment when these elected officials have a personal hand in your life. I’m not seeing the liberal, pro-women values coming out of my Democratic candidates. Much the opposite. They have personally shown me they don’t care.
Maybe if the AG’s office had spoken to me way back when and given me a reason, I would have been displeased, but I would at a minimum know what the problem was so I could address it. Instead, they thought so little of me that they chose to ignore me time and time again. It doesn’t matter what I do. They will not acknowledge me or my allegations. Will. Not. Even. Acknowledge.
So this week, I’m busy. I’m all over social media. The video of the rape is getting clipped and remixed and shared everywhere I can possibly share it. I can easily make a video per day. New content all the time until Tuesday.
Tuesday determines my survival. My sanity. My future.
Here is how the political math works.
Lombardo wins Governor and Guzman-Fraylik wins AG: Case gets reopened in January. Excellent chance of charges. I’ve been told both AG candidates are very much aware of my case.
Lombardo Gov/Cannizzaro AG: Case is reopened. Cannizzaro hates Ford, but she was one of Wolfson’s deputies. 50/50. I can’t even call that one. But she is also a woman, so maybe? Not banking on it.
Ford Gov/Guzman-Fraylik AG: Case is reopened, but do they want to engage in the political pissing match over me? Really? Meh. I’m not sure what happens. It’s all politics at that point. I have no real benefit for them. Setting a path for the 2030 election by cleaning up after Ford and his weak policies? I don’t know. Maybe. Better chance than…
Ford Gov/Cannizzaro AG: Nothing happens. Cannizzaro can’t break the party line. She just can’t. I’m fucked. There is no hope.
The fucking Nevada State Police told me in no uncertain terms that the charges in this case would completely depend on who wins the election. Those are my predictions. The police didn’t tell me who needed to win, but we all already knew it was political.
It’s the world of who you know and who you blow. Has nothing to do with actual law or right and wrong or holding people accountable for their actions. That is the fairy tale they sell us: Justice. It’s about how advantageous the charges are to them politically. It’s just another election cycle to them. I don’t matter. None of us do.
So, here I go. One voter at a time. Being as loud as I can. Trying to prove my case to each voter I encounter.
This race is so fucking close. No one knows who is going to win. Every other poll has a different candidate with the edge. It’s that tight. All of it is within the margin of error. No one knows.
Except Ralston. He always knows. He’s just not telling yet.
