I don’t know which way to start this. I went on an actual date. And I got a visitor to the website.
Okay, the date. Well, I’m here, aren’t I? Didn’t go great. But we went back to his place at Las Vegas Country Club.
That would be the golf course Dave’s balcony overlooked.
I had great fun driving through every scene from the movie Casino and looking out over the fairway from his balcony, where the airplane crashed in the movie. It reminded me how much of that area is tied to memories.
I haven’t been down there in two years. Dave, by the way, the cones from Karen going to Maryland are still fucking there. This fucking town.
But being down there threw me off. So much time spent there. It was weird being on the other side of the golf course.
I left and ended up on DI by the Wynn, where it gets curvy and fast, and where Dave took me on the bike for the first time.
It’s just the area. I mostly stay away from it. I don’t like being there because it brings up confusing memories that are happy and horrifying at the same time.
Like the traffic cones. I remember going to Roberto’s one night and the chile relleno fingers incident. Then I remember him slut-shaming me and telling me I was the only woman he had ever met who had a “higher body count” than him.
Sorry I get laid. My bad.
Anyways, I just don’t like being in that area.
Then I checked analytics.
“State of Nevada Legislature” was the name of the ISP.
Hmm.
What?
Beg your pardon?
On a Sunday, no less.
Well, what the hell is that about? NPRA? I’m confused by it. I’ll assume nothing until nothing is something, but it was certainly odd.
Also, why does the Legislature have its own ISP? Weird construction for the infrastructure.
Anyways, that’s my Sunday.
Saturday night was with my new friend Patrick. Good guy.
Shame he isn’t house-trained.
I kind of like him.
