I am unemployed.
I am a well qualified candidate for a state position.
I applied for the position.
Exactly five minutes later--EXACTLY, the State of Nevada is looking at my website.
The absurdity of this whole scenario is not lost on me, but it pisses me off.
I want to laugh about this but in this moment it feels way too creepy for words.
Hey guys, it would be easier to watch me if I worked for the state. You can totally watch what I do 8 hours a day without a warrant or cause. You can record my phone calls. You can track my computer use. You ask co-workers about me. Like I'm sleeping the rest of the time really. So, you would be saving yourself a lot of hassle and red tape and possible civil liberties blow back and you wouldn't miss anything if hired me for $78k and let me sit in hole and do research like the little evil research gnome I am.
Just saying.
Oppurtinity missed, I could have put that in my cover letter.
